Puppetry - Town Hall Theatre
The Puppet Theatre has been running for over 21 years. Performing internationally and nationwide. Julie Rose has worked also with the Abbey and project theatres. She was the Puppeteer on the 'Lassie Movie '05'. Supported by Waterford Co. Council's Arts Grants Scheme 2008.

Open air concert with traditional band from Kerry 'The Whiskey Jacks'. Supported by Waterford Co. Council's Arts Grants Scheme 2008. Having played together occasionally for a few years, Mike, Sean, John & Leo formed 'The Whiskey Jacks' in early 2007. They launched their new CD on Friday, 23rd November 2007. All band members come from musical backgrounds having played with different bands over the years and together they play a mixture of lively songs and trad combined with well known ballads, country and airs.

8.00pm: Lecture on 'The 1798 Rebellion' - Dungarvan Courthouse
Since 1994 Julian has broadcasted 'On This Day', on WLR FM a short daily programme featuring an event or a person connected in some way to Waterford and to the date; in October 2002 it won the Best Short Feature section in the PPI Radio Awards. He is also employed as a Project Assistant at University College, Cork.

9.00pm: George Murphy - Town Hall Theatre
George Murphy first came to the nation's attention in 2004 via his show-stealing performance on R.T.E. 'You're A Star'. His many admirers see him as the natural successor to the great Luke Kelly of The Dubliners, His debut album, Dreamed A Dream, produced by Phil Coulter, featured songs like 'Raglan Road' Dublin In the Rare Auld Times', 'Joe Hill' and John Lennon's 'Working Class Hero'. His first single 'The Moon Going Home' was a No. 1 hit in Ireland while the album itself achieved multi-platinum status.

Sylvano is a leading magician who will entertain both children and adults alike with his amazing array of tricks & illusions - see him saw his lady assistant in half, even make her disappear! After the show Sylvano displays his talent for manipulating balloons to make the animal of your choice.
3.00 pm: '1798 Rebellion' Street Pageant - Dungarvan Town Park
On Sunday May 5th Feile na nDeise will re enact the trial & execution of Edmond Power & Francis Hearn, two of the local leaders of the Insurrection in West Waterford.
After a serious of small scale encounters in the run up to the 1798 rising, the authorities cracked down with ferocity in the risings aftermath on the perceived leaders that were viewed as encouraging and guiding the Rebellion. On the day we will re enact some of secret meetings / the bloody events that took place leading up the trial and the final re enactment of the execution by way of hanging of Edmond Power & Francis Hearn.

With The Copper Plate Céilí Band from Omagh. The three members of the band, Enda McGlone, Brian Ward and Eamonn Donnelly, on box, banjo and piano, make music that is both fun to dance to and thoroughly traditional.
