12.00am - 2.00pm: The Old Market House Arts Centre, Lower Main Street, Dungarvan is hosting Miriam Lambert, Puppeteer with her production of 'Peek a Boo' and 'Goldilocks and the Three Bears'. Children must be accompanied. Very suitable for the under 6's.

Lectures: "Some Aspects of the Déise's past and a little of the present". Admission €8
- Dr. Diarmuid Ó'Muirithe, Senior Lecturer in Irish at U.C.D. & Former Fulbright Professor of English, will talk about "The English of two old West Waterford Men, with reference to the Viking Languages and Irish."
- Prof. Daithí Ó'HÓgáin of the Department of Irish Folklore UCD will speak about "The Folklore of the Déise"
- Diarmaid Ó'Gráda Historian, will speak on the topic: "The Connerys: Hooligans or Patriots?"
Two newcomers to Dungarvan will give us poetic insights into their respective native cultures:
- Katerina Dostalkova from The Czech Republic will read some short poems from her country in the original language followed by a translation of same.
- Martina Ladniak from Poland will read and translate a few poems by her illustrious compatriot Nobel Prizewinner "Czeslaw Milosz"

Sunday 6th May
In Grattan Square
- 2.30 pm: Street Pageant: "Michael Collins". Nine days after the visit of De Valera to Dungarvan, Michael Collins "The Big Fellow" came to Town on the 26th March 1922 looking for support for the Treaty amid a volatile atmosphere in the Country at the height of the Civil War. Violent scenes culminating in a gunfight precipitating a hasty retreat. His speech was heckled throughout, leading to ugly and violent scenes in a deeply divided town ending in an affray. A feeling of foreboding and anxiety swept through the gathered throngs. This historic day is being re-enacted in full Military Costume together with the sound of Gunfire once again being re echoed around Grattan Square Later that year on August 22nd Michael Collins made his fateful visit to Béal na mBláth. - 4.00pm: Open Air Music featuring "The Booley House". The Booley House Musical brings the great Irish legacy to life. Travelling all over the world, the Booley House presents ninety fast-paced, uninterrupted minutes of authentic traditional music played on traditional instruments. Filled with brilliant singing, set and step-dancing, Booley House also fosters the unique legacy of the golden-tongued Irish story-teller.

7.00 pm: Shinty Hurling - Waterford v Fort William (Scottish Club Champions). See history in the making as Waterford Senior Hurling team take on the Shinty champions of Scotland "Fort William" in an exhibition match at Fraher Field kindly sponsored by "Saltan Properties". At St. Mary's Parish Church, Dungarvan
8.30pm: In Concert: Ms. Cara O'Sullivan - (with local guests Neil Hurley, Eimear Fahey & Brian Hughes). Since she won the RTE Musician of the Future competition in 1990 Cork born Cara O'Sullivan has risen to prominence as one of Ireland's leading sopranos. Cara represented Ireland in the 1993 Cardiff Singer of the World Competition; was first prizewinner in the Second International Stanislav Moniuszko Vocal Competition, in Warsaw in 1996, and won the Classical Artist Award in the 1997 National Entertainment Awards in Ireland. Cara has recorded frequently for RTE radio and television. - Admission €25

Exhibitions for Féile Weekend 2007
Over the Féile na nDéise weekend, The Old Market House Arts Centre, Lower Main St., Dungarvan, Co. Waterford, is exhibiting 'Driftwood' by William Watson and 'Scenic Route' by Liz Johnson. On display upstairs is 'Market 07' by various artists which this month features work by Tomás O'Maoldomhnaigh, Chris Meehan and Rosemary Cantlon among others. These exhibitions will run until Saturday 26th May 2007. The Arts Centre is open Tuesday to Saturday 11am to 5pm. Admission is free and all are welcome.
