The Waterford Arts & Crafts Fair will feature approximately 30 artisans and crafts people from across the County. Utilising Dungarvan Castle as the historic setting, artisans and craft lovers will have the opportunity to view local art and craft works against the setting of the Norman Castle structure with the distinctive round tower and gateway walls. The exhibition of paintings, stained glass, hand-made wooden craft, jewellery, hand-knitted clothes, printing and lithography will take place outside the restored 18th century barracks within the castle walls.

Winners of the Waterford “Young At Art “Inter-Primary School Art Competition together with a selection of paintings and posters promoting tourism across the County will also be on display on the second floor Gallery of the Castle. In addition, staff will be on hand to answer any questions about the historic castle and exhibitions.

Our full programme will also include traditional entertainment and set dancing from our visiting troop of Welsh National Dancers from Carmarthenshire.

Access to the Castle has been granted with the kind permission of the Office of Public Works.
